My fertility awareness journey began after side effects from hormonal birth control nearly destroyed my breastfeeding relationship with my newborn daughter in 2005. Seeking a natural yet effective contraceptive alternative, I turned to the Justisse Method of Fertility Management. Through learning to chart my cycles and working with a Justisse trained Fertility Awareness Educator and Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner (HRHP), I uncovered answers to longstanding health problems. Since then I have committed myself to helping others achieve optimal health through menstrual cycle charting and body literacy.
Born and raised in Toronto, I have a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto and earned my certification as a Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner in 2010. I have been engaged in work for the Justisse College since 2014. I completed my HRHPE training in early 2020, and took on the role of Executive Director of Justisse College in July 2020.
Through Red Tent Sisters, a business I started in 2007 with my sister Kim, I have supported individuals of all genders and sexual orientations to use fertility awareness to achieve or avoid pregnancy, and to maximize their reproductive health. In 2019 I opened a private practice in Nova Scotia where I combine my work as an Occupational Therapist and HRHP. My current clinical interests lie in the realm of emotional regulation, mental health, hypothyroidism and autoimmune conditions.
I currently reside in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, but provide support to clients all over the world.
