Married, mother of three, employed, and also a symptothermal method advisor. I also have five chickens, a rooster, and two cats. I love coffee, eggs, cheese, and red meat—and red wine, actually.
I discovered symptothermal method five years ago thanks to my doctor. Seeing my physical distress since having a copper IUD inserted, he suggested I change my method of contraception. My response: “I don’t want hormones anymore, and I don’t want my husband to have a vasectomy.” And then my doctor uttered a very strange word: “symptothermal method.” After the appointment, I spent my evening researching the internet. Since then, I’ve been practicing symptothermal method and have trained at Eden Fertilité to support women and couples in managing their fertility.
For me, symptothermal method is much more than a means of conception or contraception. Beyond the “do” or “don’t do,” symptothermal method is a wonderful tool for self-awareness. It’s a method for managing and observing fertility; it gives us women the opportunity to understand how we function. Because it’s our right!
Our cycle is a treasure trove containing valuable information about our health, and practicing symptothermal method provides access to all of this information.
