My name is Elena Kennedy and I am currently entering an internship with Justisse College to complete my training as a Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner. I hold a B.S. in Social Welfare, Spanish & Global Health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins University. My MPH included obtaining a Certificate in Global Health and a Certificate in Maternal and Child Health. My passion is learning about how we can better support maternity on a global scale.

I have lived in the United States (California/Illinois/Wisconsin/Colorado) as well as Germany, Spain, Japan & Brazil. In each context I have been excited to learn about how different regions of the world are working to improve maternal health outcomes. I see myself as a lifelong learner, constantly delving into new evidence and research through platforms like PubMed to make sure I am informed on the latest research supporting folx globally.

In the past I have worked as a Medical Case Manager to refugees resettled and folx living with HIV/AIDS in Chicagoland. I also spent time working in patient services at a fertility clinic. Additionally, I have worked in project management for several global non-profits that work to support healthcare as a human right.
