I’ve been teaching Fertility Awareness since 2001, and in that time have taught hundreds of people to confidently chart their cycles for pregnancy prevention, pregnancy achievement, and insight into their health, sexuality, or fertility. I have also taught sex ed to teenagers and given talks and trainings to dozens of health care professionals.

Fertility Awareness is tied to some of our most intimate concerns, such as sexuality, fertility, relationships, childbearing, and health. Trained as a social worker, I employ a highly individualized, client-centered approach that respects your values and sets goals that reflect your specific needs and circumstances. That’s why I offer individual consultations rather than pre-set “packages.” I won’t tell you what type of health care to pursue, or what choices to make around contraception, pregnancy achievement, or anything else. My job is to educate and empower you in your fertility awareness practice so that it works for you, easily and without confusion. I welcome all types of relationships, all gender identities and sexualities, and try to be culturally competent and anti-racist in my work. Evidence informs my practice, as does a sex-positive, body-positive approach. I will meet you where you are, and help you get to where you want to go!

I have been involved with the Association of Fertility Awareness Professionals (AFAP) since its relaunch in 2014, serving as Executive Director for 6 years and currently as a committee member and a board member. I’m particularly interested in making Fertility Awareness Based Methods more inclusive and accessible, increasing scientific and health literacy, and decreasing health care disparity. I live in Brooklyn, NY (Lenapehoking) where I’m a community organizer involved in anti-racism and animal rescue. When I’m not teaching Fertility Awareness, I work at a grant-making foundation, interacting with a wonderful assemblage of artists, muckrakers, and visionaries.

Trained by Barbara Feldman, one of the first people to teach fertility awareness in a non-religious context in the US.
