At Fertility Awareness First , I seek to equip and empower every woman to become the leading advocate for her reproductive health and an informed participant in her healthcare decisions.
As a parent, charting to postpone or achieve pregnancy, preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum charting with sympto-thermal and the FEMM sympto-hormonal method are natural areas of educating women for me.
Still, a strong passion of mine lies in equipping teens (ages 12+) and single women with the knowledge and skills to understand their bodies, support their hormone health, and participate in their healthcare.
In my faith tradition, it has been common to wait to teach fertility awareness until a couple becomes engaged. But, as an instructor, I have seen first hand the impact of teaching young women to chart their cycles, identify signs of ovulation, and seek medical support as an informed participant when it appears the body is not ovulating. Can you imagine the fertility stress a newly engaged couple would go through that this client won’t have to because she learned charting for health as an emerging adult and was able to seek medical and social support 10 years prior to ever trying to conceive!
Body literacy is transformative.
