I’ve been honored over 10 years by the privilege of sharing this intimate part of people’s lives, with a small share in their concerns, hopes, joys and sorrows. I have extensive experience assisting women through the postpartum transition into regular cycles and have charted this for myself three times. I’m noting early signs of perimenopause in my charts. A new adventure! With a keen interest in femtech, my husband calls me the Borg Queen with all my wearables. I’m focused on body literacy and will gladly teach teens (with parental approval) about cycles/menstruation, but I do save the family planning aspect for adults. I have three young children, am the president of a local library non-profit, and admin several fertility awareness support groups on Facebook. I run a little cottage “mission” supplying femtech charting supplies to women/couples in need.
I’ve been in the military (army) and in music theater (amateur.) I’ve worked in restaurants, schools and offices, and traveled around the world. I studied music, then Asian studies, then social science, then theology. I was writing a Masters on the application of Theology of the Body to pregnancy and childbirth, but having two children under two put that thesis on hold and I’ve not taken it back up! I’ve been Catholic, pagan, agnostic, atheist, and back to Catholic, finally finding my home in the Church as a Lay Dominican. I can present BCC fertility charting with a Catholic perspective or in a secular way (the religious portion of the course is optional unless you’re doing it with me for Church-required marriage preparation!) I’m an Australian in the USA where New England winters give me the blues.
