I stumbled upon Fertility Awareness in 2019 and it changed my life! I am passionate about Fertility Awareness and about trying to educate as many folks as possible so that they can make fully informed decisions about their bodies and their contraception.
I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 14 and was told that the Pill was the only possible form of treatment and that I’d likely be infertile later in life – so not knowing any better I took various oral contraceptive pills for around 13 years. As I got into my mid-twenties I realised how I was feeling really unwell overall and started to seek advice from my GP and was told that everything was fine and that I should continue with the Pill until I was ready to conceive. Unsatisfied with that advice I started to dig deep into natural alternatives and I found Fertility Awareness. I consumed as much information as possible and my mind was blown. I came off the pill and sought out an educator as soon as possible.
From that moment on I was hooked. I was able to confirm ovulation and I felt such immense joy, especially after being told I may be infertile. It was at that point that I knew I wanted to become an educator so that I could help folks and hopefully change their lives too!
